Presentation from the Rotary Club of Batavia Coast

Guest Speakers:

Paul Pirra formally introduced RC of Batavia Coast President Sue Svensson and Community Projects Director Mick Powell, who gave us a rundown of their Club and projects they support.

Sue: RCBC is 50 years old in 2019, having been chartered in August 1969. They currently have 25 active members and meet at the Broady on Monday evenings, 6.00pm for 6.30pm.

Directors serve for 2 years in their portfolio on an 11 member Board.

Projects:

Wild West Bike Tour, Green Batch, Volleyball Against Violence, Bowls Night, 440 Roadhouse Signage, Dongara Signage Wall, Dead Reds Society.

Youth:

Interact Club at GGS, Youth Exchange, plus other youth programs that we also support.

Fellowship:

Wildflower tour, Melbourne Cup Phantom Call.

 

Mick: Yellow Submarine Restoration Project – To be placed at 440 Roadhouse as an entry statement to the City. Total restoration approx. $45k.

WA Day BBQ, Relay For Life Breakfast, Mental Health Forum at Binnu, Seniors Christmas Lunch.
