Leane's Trench (LT)

LT had a visit from Neil Oliver's Coasts tv program which has a viewing audience of 24m.

CC thinks this increase tourist interest.

His concern is that they only have eight active volunteers working at LT.

Also concerned re numbers coming from cruise ships.

LT receives $25 per cruise ship visitor. RSL gets $5. HMAS Sydney Memorial gets $2

Cruise ships will only sell tickets to LT if they get enough interest...

Also challenge of renewing sandbags at LT. It is a never ending job.

Open 3rd Saturday in the month.

Reviewing the operation of Valley View Air Show, looking to make it a basic fly in for amateurs.

Armistice Day march.

Had the chance to march with 11,200 on Armistice Day in London 11/11/18

Horse Guards to White Hall an amble/march with people from different foreign service groups.

After the servicemen marched, 10,000 'descendants' from those who fought in WW1 also marched.

Attended the Remembrance Day Concert... 'a tear to the eye'...
