Fireworks Origami!

Guest Speaker Lizzy Robinson introduced by Geoff Wood.

Lizzy Robinson is a local artist specialising in print making and is passionate about bringing communities together through the arts. She facilitates print workshops locally and throughout the state and is an arts worker fro DADAA, a Fremantle based NFP providing arts programs for the disabled and disadvantaged.

Lately she has been teaching print making at Tafe.

Since 2016 she has coordinated a large scale community project called Hard Press that involved a steam roller to print a large mural!

A large printing press!!

Kai at work!

Lizzy’s latest project is the Community Fireworks Origami project, sparked by her 14yo nephew Kai’s movable fireworks origami. Created from 12 pieces of paper it is connected sole by folds. Lizzy has formulated a community arts project to construct a very large scale example.

During Lizzy’s presentation, her nephew Kai created an origami firework.

Guest Speaker thanks, Bruce Ralph.
